Dr. Paul Choinski is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has over 20 years of medical and surgical experience in private practice in Eastern Long Island. He practices general ophthalmology with an emphasis on cataract surgery, refractive surgery and treatment of glaucoma.
He was raised in Smithtown, Long Island where he completed his primary education. He attended college at Binghamton University and graduated with a B.S. in Biology in 1982. He attended a language and culture program at the University of Wroclaw in Poland during the summer of 1980.
Dr Choinski attended SUNY Upstate Medical University at Syracuse and obtained his M.D. degree in 1986. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in ophthalmology at SUNY Buffalo in 1990.
He joined Hampton Eye Physicians and Surgeons, P.C. in July 1990. He became board certified in ophthalmology in 1991 and received his Fellowship in the American College of Surgeons in 1994.
Dr. Choinski is an attending physician at Southampton Hospital, Southampton, New York, and the Suffolk Surgery Center, in Shirley, New York.
Dr Choinski resides in Water Mill, New York with his wife and their two children.
Some of Dr. Choinski’s favorite pastimes are physical fitness, skiing, golf, hiking and gardening.
